openpalliative
Open-source tools that make palliative care easier to navigate for families and nonprofits in Russia. The interface is in Russian
This is not a help service and we do not answer requests. In an emergency in Russia, call 112 or 103 (ambulance)
The problem
Families caring for a seriously ill person at home often have to write formal requests and complaints to get pain relief, equipment or home visits, and then track legal deadlines for the answer. The rules exist, but they are scattered across official documents
The tools
- Requests and complaints (Заявления и жалобы). Build a written request or complaint, track the legal deadline for the answer and see the next step. Works offline. Source code: openpalliative/obrashchenie-kit
- Sheets for home (Листы для дома). Printable sheets: who to call at night and on holidays, a sheet for the ambulance crew, a discharge checklist. Works offline. Source code: openpalliative/home-care-kit
- Who provides medical devices (Кто выдаёт изделия). Open dataset of medical devices for palliative care at home and the official documents they are issued under. Source code: openpalliative/pal-devices-data
- Who to call (Куда звонить). Regional hotlines from the open data of the federal healthcare watchdog, with source and date. Source code: openpalliative/pal-directory
- Regulations and deadlines (Нормы и сроки). Machine-readable registry of regulations with verbatim quotes from official publications, response deadlines and escalation steps. Source code: openpalliative/pal-norms
This site itself: openpalliative/openpalliative.github.io. It holds the shared build tool and design system used by all five tools
Principles
No backend, data stays on the device. Static sites only, no trackers, no third-party requests. Official sources with review dates, unverified records are marked as such. Not medical or legal advice. Not affiliated with any foundation, healthcare provider or government body. We do not accept donations
How to help
Accessibility, offline support, printing, data validation, tests. Knowing Russian is not required for most of it. We are also looking for maintainers based in Russia: a lawyer, a medical professional and a developer. Start with the issues or the discussions. Everything posted there is public
